I have a ridiculous obsession with office supplies. It started when I was but a wee kindergartener, in the form of washable markers and has progressed over the years to include pens, mechanical pencils of every variety, highlighters, index cards, and reams of plain and college-ruled paper. Fortunately for me, I have an outlet for using office supplies as part of my daily routine at home: I’m a full-time mom.
As any parent knows, you need at least two pens and a small notebook or calendar in your bag at all times. Whether you’re meeting new friends at the local playground or jotting down a reminder for an upcoming sale or event, having the right utensils handy could save you money or help to build your relationships. I am fortunate enough to have the option to homeschool my child, and as such, I use a lot of ink.
Lucky for Planet Earth, I now have a new favorite line of green pens and pencils – the Pentel Recycology line. Each item is crafted with 50-100% recycled material, and all products are refillable to limit the impact that they have on the environment. All Recycology products are backed with Pentel’s lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, and they cost the same as regular office supplies. You can be green and save some green, too.
My absolute favorite product from this line is the Pentel R.S.V.P. RT pen. I love the quality of the ink lines that are produced from this pen, and the fact that the ink doesn’t smudge at all (even immediately after writing!) makes it that much better.
I am also extremely impressed with the Super Hi-Polymer Lead. It can be used for standardized tests and is the equivalent of a #2 wood cased pencil – except for the fact that it never needs sharpening, resists breaking, and writes up to two times longer per inch than the competitor’s lead. Amazing!
Would you like to own some of these fabulous Recycology products?
Pentel so generously offered to give three Classic Mommy readers a package of Recycology products worth around $25. To win, simply visit the website and tell me which product you are most excited to try out. For two additional entries, you can like Pentel on facebook and follow them on Twitter. That’s it! One comment = one entry. This giveaway will run until 7 pm EST on Friday, April 22nd (Earth Day). Open to US residents, only.
Let’s all try to do our part to help preserve our environment for the next generations to come. One easy way to start is by purchasing recycled products, and I have to say – Pentel makes excellent pens!
