Ballerina Birthday Party

Danger has requested a pink ballerina birthday party to celebrate the happy occasion of her third birthday. Three years old! I almost cannot believe that she has been with us for so long.

This year, my husband and I have decided to delegate the party preparation duties. We could think of no one better to carry out this party than my mother-in-law, the very talented and amazing Janine. We really lucked out because she offered to help before we even thought to ask! As she lives over an hour away from us, we are coordinating the party over Pinterest. How cool is that?!

Take a look at what we’re working on: As my daughter has been quite obsessed with ballet for the past year, it came as no surprise that she requested a “pink ballerina party” as her theme. I’m seeing lots of tulle, pink candies, and precious girls in fluffy tutus in our near future.

My very favorite thing about this party so far has to be these super cute invitations that we purchased over the weekend from blabla: While this is not a character-themed party, my daughter just loves her Josephine blabla. When I saw these invitations at the blabla store, I just knew that we had to include Josephine into the party somehow. This blabla is an elephant AND she does ballet? She’s pretty perfect.

Be sure to check back in two weeks to see the results of the party!  I’m thinking… slideshow!

The lovely pictures included in this inspiration collage come from the following sites (from top left, clockwise): *Fabulous Fifi; *Sweet Designs; *Catch My Party; *A Little Loveliness. The elephant invitation image is from blabla kids. You know how much we love our blablas!
